LIVERPOOL WOMENS 10K

14th MAY 2006

The sun was shining and the birds were singing as a large group of nervous pink panthers converged at the Parbold shops to then head off into the West to see new sights (5000 sweaty women all running in the same direction) and to experience the ABSOLUTE JOY of running 10K !

A few panthers were looking to set new pb,s (personal best times), a few were looking to complete their first ever 10K race, but they all had one thing in common, they were PINK and they were PROUD and determined to have a good time.

A massive well done to everyone who took part, it was really nice to see so many Pink Panthers in one race. We did so well, that Parbold Pink Panthers actually came in as the 13th team out of 40teams.

THE GREAT MANCHESTER 10K

Nicky Greehalgh was our sole representative in this race and was close to achieving her best time of just under 50min. I believe this is a fantastic event with thousands of participants but is a little on the expensive side to enter. It will be on again next year so if your interested see www.greatrun.org

HARROCK HILL
24th MAY
This is a shortish (5 ½ Miles) but brutally hard race, so it was absolutely fabulous to see such a great turn out from our merry little band of Panthers.
