Cross Country Dates & Fixtures

WHO WANTS TO HAVE FUN IN THE MUD ???

If you fancy a nice 4 - 5 mile run on a Sunday morning in a nice park with some nice friends through some nice mud all finished off with some nice sandwiches and a very nice cup of tea then the cross county season is for you.

Seriously anyone can enter this league, ideally we need at least 3 runners for each event. (But it doesn't have to be the same three for every race. Last year several Pink Panthers took part in these events and most of them enjoyed it ( Just don't ask what Nicky Greenhalgh or Kath Thow thought !!)

YOU CLUB NEEDS YOU !

If you are free for ANY of the following dates, let either me (Yvonne) or Diane know. We especially need 3 runners for the first date 28th Oct as our regular team members from last year are all busy elsewhere - Diane is doing the Snowdon marathon the day before, Paula Gatterell has just had a baby and Sally is away - I think Diane and Paula have taken rather extreme measures just to miss this first cross country, it wasn't that bad last year, was it?

Dates of races:

All dates are now confirmed, start time is assumed to be at 11am as usual

Race 1: 28/10/07 Clarke Gardens (Penny Lane Striders)

Race 2: 11/11/07 Beacon Park (Skelmersdale BH)

Race 3: 2/12/07 Arrowe Park (Pensby RC)

Race 4: 13/1/08 Runcorn Town Park (Warrington RR)

Race 5: 3/2/08 Walton Park (Liverpool RC)

Race 6: 24/2/08 Birchwood Forest Park (Spectrum Striders RC). Note new venue for sandwiches to be confirmed.
