PANTHERS SHOW WHAT THEY'RE MADE OF AT HILLDALE 10K

It was a day for p.b.s all round on a beatiful day for a 10K from Hilldale.

WE had an amazing turn out for this charity 10K, PINK was the colour of the day and we all had a great time.

THANKYOU to all the girls who turned up for this pretty tough 10K, it was so great to see so many girls out in their brilliant Pink Panther kit. Not least of all DIANE POWELL and KIRSTY WEBSTER who were mad enough not only to do the race, but do do it fully clad in PINK FUR!!
WELL DONE GIRLS I'M PROUD OF YOU, and what great times you did! (1.00.00) - in fact what are you normally playing at if you can run that fast in fancy dress I think you should be trying a bit harder when your in normal kit!!

Paula Gaterell (Pb today of 44.05 - about 40sec faster than prev.)
Catherine Whitfield (pb - 47.18 - first time at 10K)
Nicola Johnson (pb today of 50.44 -3 min faster than prev.)
Tanya Foley (pb today of 51.24 -40 sec faster than prev.)
Paula Swarbrick - 51.25 (Pb I think?) SEE PHOTO only 1 second between them, what a great finish.
Jayne Fitzsimmons - (pb 52.57 - I think about 8 min faster than prev)
And to put these times into perspective, I felt this was definatley NOT a PB course!! I think I must need to train harder!

Pink panthers conquer Ormskirk

WE had a fabulous turn out for the first running of the Ormskirk 10K on Sun 21 Sept.
So well done to all of the pink panthers who took part, many gaining pb's at this distance.

There were a total of 412 finishers in this race and I've done my best to scan the results but if I've missed anyone off please click the 'comment' button at the bottom of this article and let me know -

Once again well done, I wish I could have been there, lets have another good turn out for the Hilldale 10K next weekend and see if we can continue to paint the North West PINK

Harrock Hill Aug 2008

Well done to the following girls who bravely faced the mud for the final Harrock Hill race of the year,
Paula G, Kathryn C, Liz Peacock, Claire Carr, Tanya Foley, Nicola Johnson,Diane Powell and Bron Vicent.
A special mention for Liz, Nicola and Bron as it was the first time that they had faced this course. I hope you have not been too put off and will do it again next year!

Cuerdon Valley 10K Aug 08

Another fine turn out for the pink panthers, once again you have done our club proud.

Competing were, Paula Gaterell, Steph Poole, Claire Carr, Nicola Johnson. Nicola by the way has probably entered more races this year than anyone and seems to be willing to have a go at anything! Well done Nicola I like your attitude.

Race 1 - 26th Oct, 11am Clarke Gardens
Race 2 - 23 Nov, 11am Beacon Park
Race 3 - 7th Dec, 11.30am Arrow Park
Race 4 - 11th Jan, 11am Runcorn Town park
Race 5 - 1st Feb, 11am Walton Park
Race 6 - 1st March 11am Birchwood Forest

We need 3 runners for a team but we can send more if there are more mad enough to take part!
We will try and go in 1 or 2 cars so dont worry about getting there we like to travel as a team when possible. If you've never done cross coutry before, these are good fun races. Distance is normally around 4-5 miles, conditions, muddy and hilly so you do need off road shoes. Theres always sandwiches and drinks laid on afterwards.
