Well done to everyone, this is a HARD race. To finish is quite an achievement.
I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but I was in Devon for the weekend and I was very sorry to miss one of our little clubs finest moments - WE WERE 1st LADIES TEAM.

I'm very proud of you all, and PAULA deserves a special mention for her first 3rd Place.

cross country race 5

Results

4th - Yvonne Wyke
5th - Paula Gaterell
14th - Jayne Fitszimmons

Team position

2nd/9 teams

What a fantastic day - it was absolutely freezing and 20 mins before the race we all still had wooly hats and down jackets on - but then the gloves were off and so were we!!
Paula improved on her finishing position again to come home in 5th place. I gave it everything I had after a 6 week lay off to finish 4th and Jayne also improved her place to 14th to give us a really good team score - our best yet.
Nicky Johnson came along to support and brought emergency chocolate cornflake cakes -so if that not enough of a reason to turn up for the last race (01 march 09) I don't know what is!

Thanks once again to everyone who turned up, I cant stress enough that EVERY position does count and not only that but it is just great to see all that lovely PINK out there.

Well done to Paula on her best finishing position yet. Well done to the rest of the fabulous pink panther team (including Diane Powell who unfortunately didn't quite finish the race but was there to cheer on the rest of the girls. Janine is new to cross country but seems to be loving the mud, I hope you can make it to more races.
Once again, sorry I couldn't be there due to illness and injury but I was with you in spirit. Thanks to everyone for turning up lets keep it up!
